The challenges we see ahead for Webex are less solution-related and more market-facing. This is a crowded space with a lot of vendors vying for customers. Webex's challenge is communicating the power of the platform and contact center offerings, both throughout the partner ecosystem and to customers in general, and differentiating its offerings from others in the market.

We also covered Webex's use of AI-powered features like proactive and predictive outbound engagement, background noise removal and features that optimize for "my voice," along with a self-service option with smart virtual agents, all available now.

Looking ahead, Webex will unveil AI-powered features that track agent well-being and which can detect and identify situations where agents might be experiencing burnout (available in Beta Q1 2024), automatic conversation summaries and recommended next actions for agents (available in Beta Q3 2024), proprietary agent answers and suggested responses (available in Beta Q4 2024), and coaching highlights for supervisors (also available in Beta in Q1 2024).

Insofar as broader Webex announcements are concerned, it's clear that for Webex, investing in audio and video intelligence is as important as their investments in LLMs, and delivering immersive experiences with AI is the goal.

Webex's Audio Intelligence AI Codec reduces bandwidth without reducing meeting quality and is embedded in the Webex app.

Intelligence is embedded into video devices and multi-camera experiences and cinematic meeting features is being integrated into the video portfolio for large conference rooms with multiple cameras.

Webex AI Assistant is designed to pull together all of Webex's AI tooling for users in a coherent way, providing an LLM-driven set of functions like helping to craft messages, suggesting changing the ton of a message and providing meeting and message summaries in Webex, while working with RMM to provide additional functionality. Beta testing of Webex AI Assistant is underway, and we look forward to hearing more as Webex AI Assistant becomes GA and customers involved in the beta programs can share their experiences.
